<p>Any student that signed up for AP Government next year can now find the Summer Assignment on Mrs. Rader&#8217;s eCampus page.  If you have questions, either email her or see her in room 166.</p>
<p>Come celebrate with the longstanding tradition of Baccalaureate on Sunday, May 20 at U.A.L.C. starting at 6:30pm.  There will be desserts, live music, and student speakers.  Cards can be picked up in the Main Office or find the event on Facebook.</p>
<p>Student Mentor applications are due to Mrs. Mongolier tomorrow. Any questions, stop by the guidance office.</p>

If for some reason you are unable to make the meeting you must see either Mr. Clarke or Mr. Weber to get your summer assignment materials.</p>

<p>Sean Neimeister and Cory Farnbauch each had 2-out singles, and PJ Morgan smashed a 2-run game-winning double as the baseball Wildcats rallied to beat Dresden Tri-Valley 2 to 1 last night.  Michael Scaglione earned the win with a complete-game pitching performance.  The Cats now advance to the Central District Championship game Wednesday against Grove City at Ohio Dominican University.  First pitch is set for 5 pm.</p>

<p>If you qualify for an exam exemption, please pick up your exemption form from Mrs. Sinto in the main office as soon as possible.  Forms must be completed and returned to the main office by Monday, May 21.</p>
<p>A calculator was found on the ground outside of our building on Friday morning. It has been turned in to the attendance office&#8211;room 107.</p>
<p>A key ring containing a flash drive, GMC fob, and one key were found on Friday.  Come to the main office to claim it.</p>
<p>The baseball Wildcats face off with Dresden Tri Valley in a Central District semi-final today at Grove City.  First pitch is set for 5 pm.</p>
<p>The boys track team won the OCC central division championship on Saturday scoring 170 1/2 points.  Winning individual championships in their events were:  Jordan Weatherby in the shot put, Jack Kincade in the 300 hurdles, Garrette Knapik in the 3200 and the mile relay team of Damarcus Nelson, DD Clark, Troy Richter and Jack Kincade.  Other all Conference performers were:  Chris Harris, Phillipie Motley, Cody Shutt, Brayden Myers, Tyler Anthony, Ryan Caulley, Colin Burdette, Johnny Mckeown, and Billy Carson.  This was a total team effort and congratulations to all those that contributed to the win.</p>

<p>Prom tickets for Midnight in Paris will be on sale today during all lunch periods and in the main office.  Tickets are $35 and include a ticket to After-Prom.  No tickets will be sold today after 4pm.</p>
<p>The Davidson PTO is going to have a Shoe/Jacket check at the Junior/Senior Prom this Saturday. Just $1 per student.  Please only one pair of shoes or belongings per bag.  You can also check your cellphones and cameras. Come back to get them anytime during the dance.</p>
<p>After-Prom will be this Saturday from 12:00- 3:00 a.m. at the Marriott Northwest near Tuttle.  Price of admission is free with purchase of a prom tickets.  Tickets will be sold for $10 at the door if you do not attend prom.  Come play real casino games for your chance to win gift cards, mini refrigerators, flat screen TVs, and an iPad!  Pizza is free.  Bring $2 for a souvenir cup and free refills all night.</p>
<p>Students: all food is to be eaten in the commons, not the classrooms or hallways.  We have had several spilled items and used food wrappers and containers littering our hallways and classrooms.  We need to be diligent in following this school rule.</p>

<p>Our third and final Improv competition for the year is this Friday at 7P in the PAC.  Form a team and compete free or simply come an enjoy the hilarious antics of improv teams from around Central Ohio.  Admission is $5 at the door.  Questions, see Mr. Crawford.</p>
<p>Students in grades 9, 10, and 11 who received a Renaissance Card at the end of 1st semester and maintained their card’s GPA for the 3rd 9 weeks are eligible to exempt a 2nd semester exam.  Check the list posted across from the main office, and then pick up your exemption form in the main office from Mrs. Sinto.</p>

<p>The baseball Wildcats exploded for 7 runs in the top of the 8th inning and got a great pitching performance from Michael Scaglione to defeat Zanesville 8 to 1 last night in Central District tournament play.  The Cats advance to the District Semi-Final next Monday to face Tri-Valley at Grove City.  First pitch is set for 5 pm.</p>

<p>The Drive One 4 UR School event on <strong>Saturday, May 12 , 2012, 10am-3pm</strong> will help raise money for <strong>Hilliard Davidson Athletic Boosters</strong>. For each participant that test-drives a qualifying vehicle Ford Motor Company and Jim Keim Ford will donate $20 to Hilliard Davidson Athletic Boosters. The community can raise as much as $6000!</p>
<p><strong>Particpants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. Limit one test drive per household. </strong></p>

<p>On Friday, Davidson will host it&#8217;s final Ohio Improv Comedy Competition of the year.  Come watch as teams from all over the area compete to see who&#8217;s funniest.  Tickets are only $5 and are available at the door.  And teams compete for FREE!  Don&#8217;t miss the fun this Friday at 7:00.</p>
<p>Students in grades 9, 10, and 11 who received a Renaissance Card at the end of 1st semester and maintained their card’s GPA for the 3rd 9 weeks are eligible to exempt a 2nd semester exam.  Check the list posted across from the main office and then pick up your exemption form in the main office from Mrs. Scinto.</p>
<p>Attention all Sophomores taking AP Language next year. There will be an informational meeting after school on Thursday May 17th in the Media Center. During this meeting you will receive all the necessary materials to complete your summer assignment so it is very important that you attend. If for some reason you are unable to make the meeting you must see either Mr. Clarke or Mr. Weber to get your summer assignment materials.</p>
<p>Seniors…it’s time for show and tell.  Tell us where you are planning to attend school next year by wearing your future college t-shirt or college gear on Tuesday, May 15th.  This is the Tuesday after Prom.    And staff don’t forget to represent your school or favorite new college t-shirt.</p>
<p>Seniors, be sure to vote TODAY for Prom King and Queen via the link on the Davidson Homepage and Facebook.</p>
<p>Prom tickets for Midnight in Paris will be on sale today through Friday during all lunch periods and in the main office.  Tickets are $35 and include a ticket to After-Prom.  No tickets will be sold after 4pm on Friday.</p>
<p>Good Luck to Sydney McGlone, Brittany Wenzel, and Andie VanVoorhis.  These three young ladies will be traveling to Hampton, VA this weekend to compete at Junior Olympic Nationals in gymnastics. Sydney and Brittany qualified to the Junior Olympic National Team and Andie qualified to the NIT.</p>
<p>Congratulations to the National Honor Society Officer Team for 2012-13, the following students were elected at our last general membership meeting: President &#8211; Jarret Kenny; VP &#8211; Raphael Melke; Sec &#8211; Emma Timan; Treas &#8211; Peter Jakes; Communications &#8211; Sam McTurner; Service Liasson &#8211; MaKenzie Adkins</p>
<p>Applications are now available in the guidance office for New Student Mentors. Student Mentors will help new students at Davidson High School in a variety of ways. If this is something that you may be interested in applications are now available in the guidance office. All applications are due back to Mrs. Mongolier by Friday, May 18. If you were a New Student Mentor this year, you need to reapply. Any questions, stop by the guidance office.</p>

<p>The boys track team competed in the JV OCC at Darby Last night.  Placing for the wildcats were: High Jump: Marcus Bailey 1st and Ben Brooks 5th); Pole Vault: Garrett McIlvain 2nd; 4 X 800:  Ellis, Vo, Bower, Burdette 3rd; 100: Hodges 5th; 4 X 200: Rodrigues, Pierce, Pablo, Arthur 4th; 1600:Hoover 4th, Lieburn 7th; 4 X 100:  McIlvain, Bailey, Pablo, Hodges 3rd</p>
<p>The baseball Wildcats beat Pickerington North 8 to 1 last night to improve to 13 and 10 on the season.  The JV also beat the Panthers 5 to 3, and the freshmen beat Jonathan Alder 3 to 2.  The varsity will open Central District tournament play tomorrow at Zanesville, with first pitch set for 5 pm.</p>
<p>The varsity softball team defeated Northland last night 11 to 0 in the first round of the district tournament.  They will go to Pickerington North on Wednesday to face the Panthers at 5:30 for the sectional final game.  Congrats to the softball team!</p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;">The baseball Wildcats swept a Senior Day double-header from Olentangy Liberty Saturday, winning game one 5 to 4 and game two 12 to 3.  The JVs split with Liberty, losing game one 8 to 3 and winning game two 3 to 2.  Today, the Cats will travel to Pickerington North, while the JVs will host the Panthers.  The freshmen will face off with Jonathan Alder.  First pitch for all games is 5 pm.</span></p>
