Career Resources

Davidson Career Fair

Each year Hilliard Davidson High School has a Career Fair in mid April.

This Career Fair allows students to research their career interests with companies within their learning path.

During sophomore year, each student has an opportunity to research their learning path during their Information and Communication Technology 21 (ICT 21) class.  This class is a requirement for graduation.  Each student will decide what learning path best matches their interests based on the results of a career interest survey taken in class.

The chosen learning path will help navigate the student through their high school years.  A Learning Path will guide the student’s curricular choices and interest exploration.  Nearly every career falls within at least one of the following thirteen Learning Paths:

Architecture/Construction
Arts/Culture
Business/Finance
Computers/Telecom
Fashion/Design
Transportation/Natural Resources
Law/Government
Medical/Health
Science/Engineering
Service Industry

The student’s guidance counselor will meet individually with sophomores each year to discuss their learning path choice.

Exploring Post

The Exploring Post Program offers career mentoring workshops for high school men and women between the ages of 14 – 20. Students who participate in this program will receive exciting hands-on experiences related to careers in art, aviation, broadcasting, engineering, fire and law enforcement, medicine, vet medicine, and other career fields. This program also can be used in conjunction with the Hilliard Mentorship program. Looks good on college applications and resumes.

Tolles Career and Technical Center

Tolles Career & Technical Center offers tuition-free career & technical programming to students who are interested in pursuing their education at a two- or four-year university; students interested in pursuing a career immediately after high school; or a combination of both. As Tolles is considered an extension of Hilliard City Schools, students are expected to meet graduation requirements in order to graduate from their respective Hilliard high school. In addition to receiving their high school diploma, students who successfully complete a Tolles program will receive a Certificate of Completion and Career Passport from the Center.

Tolles offers a full range of college preparatory academics and Spanish. Tolles provides students with several opportunities to receive college credit through the PSEO (for qualifying students) and articulation agreements. Our articulation agreements with several central Ohio two- and four-year colleges provide students with the opportunity to receive college credit for successful completion of certain programs. Many Tolles students continue their education at the post-secondary level, receiving close to $400,000 in college scholarships.

Full-day and half-day options are available to students. Students may choose to take their academics at their home school or at Tolles. Transportation is provided to and from the Center.

Entrance Requirements
Admission requirements to attend Tolles Career & Technical Center include a minimum of eight (8) high school credits (including six core course requirements in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies).  Students with three years of high school must have ten (10) high school credits with eight core courses. It is strongly suggested that students satisfy their Health and Physical Education credits prior to attending Tolles Career & Technical Center. Additional prerequisites may be required depending on the program.
